Swiss-powered energy drink

Buffalo Energy Drinks unveiled an eponymous energy drink at the Fancy Food Show in New York and at the SIAL in Paris.

Marketed with the slogan, ‘Are you Buffalized?’, the product is described as ‘a natural energy drink.’ It includes less caffeine, sodium and sugar than other competing energy drinks, the manufacturer claims.

With the tagline, ‘More power, more life, more spirit’, Buffalo energy drink promises a range of benefits, including increased mental alertness, stimulation of metabolism, circulation and nervous system, improved reaction speed and physical endurance, and improved handling with times of stress.

The energy kick is provide by a blend of B vitamins, guarana, mate, 20 Swiss mountain herbs and the equivalent caffeine content found in a 7oz cup of coffee.

The brand was inspired by an Indian legend in which a holy woman proffered the Dakota tribe a pipe as a symbol of the mystic union of man and nature before disappearing as a white buffalo. Indians still regard the rare birth of a white buffalo as a signal for the beginning of a better world.

The beverage comes in regular and sugar-free formats.
